Ahmet Eroğlu was born in Trabzon in 1964. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine as a medical doctor in 1986. He completed his compulsory service as a physician at the Beytüşşebap health center for 2 years, 2 months, and 2 days. He served his military duty as a medical lieutenant in the Ankara Gendarmerie General Command. Later, in 1999, he became a specialist in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine. He became an assistant professor in 2002, an associate professor of Anesthesiology in 2006, and a professor in 2011. In 2012, he became a specialist in Intensive Care. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation and the Head of the Intensive Care Unit at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine.
He teaches basic and advanced life support, and acid-base balance courses.
He has supervised a total of 8 medical specialization theses.
He has 36 international publications, 21 of which he is the first author, and 13 national publications, 11 of which he is the first author. He is mentioned in approximately 70 national and international conference papers. His publications have received around 200 citations.
He is a member of the editorial boards of 5 international and 3 national journals. He also serves as a visiting editor for 2 international journals. In addition, he is a reviewer for 15 international and 6 national journals.
